Birch Interior plywood

Interior plywood is made of natural birch veneer sheets glued with carbamide-formaldehyde glue.

We produce plywood with a thickness starting from 4 mm till 24 mm. The strongest one is 24 mm, as it contains more layers of birch veneer.

The size of the plywood sheet is 1525*1525 mm. Its density reaches 700 kg/m3, which is higher than the density of the same material from coniferous wood species. Our plywood is moisture resistant, lightweight, easy to cut and can be sanded.

Interior plywood production is regulated by GOST 3916.1-2018. This GOST distinguishes 5 main grades:

• Elite (E). High quality plywood without wood and manufacturing flaws, except for occasional dark eyes. This grade is suitable for interior decoration and furniture production.
• I grade (B/S). Plywood surface is practically flawless, but up to three loose knots per 1 sq. m. and less than 6 mm holes from them are allowed. Healthy knots are acceptable, but no more than 5 pieces per 1 sq. m. Small defects do not prevent from using this material for interior panels and furniture frames.
• Grade II (BB). Plywood with loose knots, black knots or partially inter-grown knots. The diameter of the flaws is not more than 6 mm, and the number of flaws is up to 6 pieces per 1 sq. m. This grade also includes plywood with 10 healthy knots per 1 sq. m. and with wood patches. No more than 8 patches per 1 sq. m is allowed. Hiding defects putty is possible to use. This grade is applied for rough and final preparation of premises for painting.
• III grade (CP). This is plywood with loose knots with the diameter of up to 15 mm, which can be black or partially inter-grown. Their number cannot be more than 10 per 1 sq. m. Healthy knots in any quantity and embedding with wood inserts are acceptable. Suitable for base construction of premises.
• IV grade (C). Any flaws and manufacturing defects with inter-grown or partially inter-grown knots and wormholes up to 40 mm in diameter are possible. Strong adhesion of veneer layers allows this material to be used for formwork, as well as for the production of boxes and other containers.

We offer sanded and unsanded plywood. Sanding is mostly chosen for high grades.

We pack plywood in bundles and fasten it with a polypropylene strapping tape. For sanded plywood we use additional protecting sheets on top and bottom of the pack.

The main principle of our work is production without any damage to nature. Interior plywood, as well as other products of ours, is safe to use. It is confirmed by international certificate Forest Stewardship Council. The received EN-717 certificate guarantees a safe E1 class of formaldehyde level in the product.

You can buy discounted plywood from us. It was also produced in accordance with GOST, but it has defects identified at the screening stage. It can’t be attributed even to the IV grade, but this material is used in the production of packaging or in construction, where a perfect skin is not needed. Such flaws include lack of veneer at the sides, face sheet separation, cracks, wane edges or veneer chip.
